Parties & corporate

Birthdays, anniversaries, drinks receptions and summer parties. The sound system comes too.

The venue not having a sound system is the thing most people worry about. It is not a problem here.

Halls, marquees, back gardens and front rooms — he arrives self-contained and sets up in 20 minutes. No hired-in PA, no engineer to book, no separate invoice from a third party.

Private parties

A 25% deposit holds the date, balance two weeks before.

We are at home — is that a problem?

No, and it is the most common booking. He needs a plug socket and about a square metre. Living rooms, marquees, village halls and gardens all work.

There is no power where we want him to play

Tick the box on the form. Battery power covers a garden or a marquee corner for a full evening, and it adds a small fixed charge rather than a mystery.

How many people can he cover?

Rooms up to roughly 200 people. For a garden party the practical limit is usually the neighbours rather than the equipment.

Can we give him a playlist?

Yes for requests within his repertoire, and he will learn one specific song if it matters. Between sets he can run a playlist through the PA so the room never goes silent.

How late can he play?

Later than most acts, since he drives himself. Anything past half twelve adds a small late-finish charge. If you have a noise curfew, tell him and he will finish inside it.

Corporate & hospitality

Drinks receptions, awards dinners, summer and Christmas parties, client events.

Invoiced on 30-day terms against a purchase order. Liability and PAT certificates go out with the quote rather than after three emails, because venue compliance teams ask for them as a matter of course and it is the step that usually holds a booking up.

What you get in writing

Can you invoice us against a purchase order?

Yes. Standard terms are 30 days from the event. Put your PO reference on the booking form and it appears on the invoice.

Our venue needs your certificates before we can confirm

£5m public liability public liability and a current PAT certificate, both sent with the quote rather than on request. Most conference and hotel venues ask, so it is quicker to lead with them.

Do you need a soundcheck?

Twenty minutes, and it can happen before guests arrive if you would rather it were invisible. Book the early soundcheck option and the timing is agreed in advance.

Our venue has an in-house AV system

Fine — say so on the form and the equipment charge comes off. He will bring his own microphone and a DI regardless, because borrowing a house vocal mic is a gamble.

Can he play through a formal dinner?

Yes. Background level across courses, then something more foreground for the reception or after the speeches. Three shorter sets often works better than two long ones for a dinner.
